​’Counselling’ and ‘Psychotherapy’ are similar (not exactly the same). Mostly, counseling sessions progress to therapy sessions based on the needs or challenges of the client.

Both describe a process of helping an individual to come to terms with and work out solutions to their problems.

However, they vary in the approach used and underpinning model and thinking.
